Who We Are, What We Do, and Why We Do What We Do...

Linda and I moved up to Florissant Colorado in 2006. Florissant is about one hour west of Colorado Springs, Colorado and the elevation is approximately 8700 feet. We worked corporate jobs in the Denver metro area for many years and wanted to get away from the noise and city life.

We are both semi-retired (in our 50s) and are enjoying ourselves up here in the mountains. My background was working with large computers – mainframes and mid size systems (PDP, DEC, Sun and HPs) doing System Administration and software support. Linda worked many years on the PC systems, and was the Network Administrator at a couple of colleges in the Denver area.

We decided to record all of our vinyl record albums (we have hundreds of them) onto CDs. Vinyl degrades every time you play it, so transfering to CDs preserves the quality of your recordings. We bought a turntable / CD recorder and started the transition. We found out that several people liked the idea of putting vinyls onto CDs. Linda has a friend in Denver whose mother had a bunch of 78 vinyls that she had not listened to in years because she no longer has a turntable. We recorded the 78s and put them onto CDs, and she is enjoying her music once again.

We decided to purchase a VHS to DVD recorder because we have a ton of VHS tapes and thought we should convert them to DVDs, since VHS is going obsolete and the tapes only last a few years. My brother-in-law had some family videos on VHS tapes and wanted them transferred to DVDs. We have a nice printer that allows you to print directly on CDs and DVDs to give them a professional look. We both have personal computers (Microsoft and Apple) with audio and video editing software, and realized that we had the proper equipment to go into business for people who did not have the time and/or equipment to do the conversions described above.

We also copy photographs onto DVDs or CDs. We can arrange pictures, photo albums, and scrapbooks and store them on a CD. We can add captions, narrations, music or just copy pictures only. We also take video clips and put them onto DVDs.

If you live in Colorado in the Park, El Paso or Teller counties, we can even set up an appointment to come to your place and take digital pictures of your property and assets to copy onto CDs for insurance purposes. These CDs should be kept in a security lock box or at least off your property in case your house gets destroyed or burglarized. This is very valuable for insurance purposes. We can also arrange to pick and deliver up your media to be copied if you have a large quantity. We charge a minimal fee depending on how far we have to travel. It is generally much cheaper than shipping charges (assuming you have several items to be copied).
